Do you take in pre-used containers for someone else to use?
Unfortunately we cannot take in used containers for other people to use. This is because we don't have the facilities to sterilise them.
For health and safety reasons, a used container that is not sterilised may still contain a residual product which the new user of that container could be allergic to.
Do I need to bring the product's original container back to refill it?
No, products can be directly filled into any container that you bring. It is up to you what containers you use for our products.
The reason some stores ask for the original containers is so that you have the list of ingredients for that product. Environmental Health tells us that it is up to the customer to know what is in their containers.
If you need a copy of the ingredients we can email a photo of them to you; or you can take a photo yourself.
Do I need to bring a container?
For liquid refills - household cleaning products, shampoos, hand wash etc. - yes. We don't keep a stock of pre-used bottles for health and safety reasons and we don't supply new bottles for environmental reasons.
For loose food produce - no. It's preferable to bring your own containers but we can also weigh your produce into a paper bag.
